By admin | February 5, 2008
The iPod touch today got an increase in its storage to store even music, pictures and vids with Apple announcement of a 32GB version, doubling its storage capacity. The new 32GB iPod touch retailing for $499, has, as of this morning has added to the Apple store, next to the previous $399 16GB model and the $299 8GB model. The 32gb iPod touch units include the $20 software upgrade ( Mail, Maps, Stocks, Weather & Notes) announced in Jan and with OS 1.1.3, but don’t appear to bring any other additions or advancements beyond the increased memory.
The rumors were everywhere this morning fueled largely by Apple shutting down their online store, that the iPhone could be getting a 16GB upgrade and/or a 3G iPhone version the did not materialize, today Apple has only officially launched a larger 16GB iPhone priced at $499, along side the 32gb touch. By admin | January 17, 2008

So now (not that these things ever work) if you feel you got the shaft from Apple go sign this online petition calling on Apple to make the apps free to current customers. The iPhone Trojan
By admin | January 15, 2008
There is now a Trojan for the Mac OS X-based iPhone. Reports say that this Trojan is “mild”. Any iPhone that has been modified to install 3rd party app are at risk.
The iPhone Trojan is named “iPhone firmware 1.1.3 prep.” and “113 prep”. It will look is if it is an essential system upgrade. When you install this Trojan onto your iPhone, it looks to do no more than displaying “shoes” on your iPhone screen.
But in reality, the Trojan overwrites applications such as “Erica’s utities” along with “Open SSH”. If you try to uninstall the Trojan, even these applications get deleted. The Trojan is not extremely high risk and does not cause a great deal of harm, it should not be seen lightly and serve as a warning to people opening iPhones through a security hole and installing unverified software. source ipodtouchin.com

iPhone as a webcam
By admin | January 13, 2008
Have you ever wanted to use your iPhone to video chat? Well it looks like now you can stream video from your iPhone over its WiFi to several video apps, including iChat, Photo Booth, or Skype. Developer Ecamm has posted a sneak peak of iPhoneCam, the appturns your iPhone’s camera as a wireless Mac webcam. The only obvious draw back to this will be that you cant have the screen and camera facing you at the same time, so it will be a little less fun chatting with friends and fam. but may bring a new level to live bloging.
