1stWorks, a communications software developer today released Files2Phones 2.0. The app is said enable your iPod Touch to function as a real time remote for you desktop. F2P as the program is called, creates an image of your desktop PC or of course MAC right on your ipod touch. It should make many of you apps & most files including Audio and Video viewable/playable on your iPod Touch or iPhones. It comes at a price of only $8.33 a month with a 12 month license purchase

Engadget is reporting (thought not available yet), that hackers working with the iPod touch have decrypted the ramdisk and are already installing apps. so far, Maps, Mail, & miscellaneous other 3rd party applications have already been put up and running on their jailbroke ipod touches

Google Reader inproved for the iPod touch

Google has now come out with a few new features for Google Reader Mobile recent update to the aggregator software has changes that especially for iPhone and iPod Touch. Users will see much better navigation and improved use of the status bar. improvements to the UI:

Instant Jailbreak for Ipod Touch

A group of hackers have set up a one steep jailbreak for the two iPhone and iPod touch. After jailbreak your iPhone and ipod touch will be open for full disk access and installs Installer.app that will let you add just about any 3rd party app you like.
To start, open point your browser to www.jailbreakme.com , some are worried that it will be installed automatically, but you asked and must confirm 1st. You will find in the directions, press down, then press the Install button AppSnapp. Safari and disappears when you return to the main window of the home screen, you are. Wait a minute more for the unit to reboot — do not touch anything until the sheet unlock screen. If Safari depends solely on ending, wait 8 seconds& try again.
After you get to slide-to-unlock, and unlock iPhone / iPod touch. You will go to your home screen, where you will first see a new Installer.app symbol. If you wish to ssh into your unit, install the BSD subsystem, Community Sources, and then install Open SSH–you may need to upgrade Installer.app. With Open SSH and sshfs (part of Mac Fuse), you can open Finder windows that offer direct drag and drop access to your phone or touch.
